1955 British suspense film noir directed by Lewis Gilbert and written by John Cresswell, based on the 1952 play Murder Mistaken by Janet Green. It stars Dirk Bogarde, Margaret Lockwood, Kay Walsh, Kathleen Harrison, and Robert Flemyng.
Dirk Bogarde was born just half a mile from the community centre, at 12 Hemstal Road, and our next presentation is one of his lesser-known gems. It is a dark thriller which, though made in 1955, is so twisted that it feels much more contemporary.
