MEET THE TEAM

We have an amazing team of three colleagues: Beatrice, Monika and Anika.

Beatrice Boussard is CAWH's Manager and Keeping Well Together Organiser. Her role is to create activities for people to meet while doing something they enjoy. Human contact and interaction are vital to increase well-being and decrease isolation and loneliness.

Beatrice is French, has lived in London for the last 30 years, and brought up two amazing young men. She enjoys travelling, cooking, nature and dancing.
Beatrice was a Sheltered housing manager for 15 years, and during the pandemic, she trained as a mindfulness teacher. Then she decided it was time for a change of career and found the perfect role at CAWH. She runs the free community lunch, a monthly memory cafe and many more activities and events!

Monika Fowdar is CAWH's Deputy Manager. She joined the CAWH team as the Centre Administrator in February 2022.  She used to work at Kingsgate Community Centre so she's familiar with the local area. Although she has relocated from Cricklewood to Harrow, she is more than happy to be able to continue to work in the local community, as she feels she's a part of it.
Apart from working at the Centre, Monika has recently completed her qualification for an AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Over the last few years, she has gained her degree in Sociology & Social Policy and was involved in several volunteering projects.
Monika lives with her teenage daughter and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, going out for nature outings with her daughter, musical theatre and listening to music.

Anika Bakirtzidis joined the team as Children and Young People (CANDY) Project Coordinator in December 2019. Her children used to go to West Hampstead Primary School when they were little and attended many activities at the Community Centre. Although she now lives in Cricklewood, she still feels connected to the West Hampstead community, and is very happy to play a small part in running the centre.

In her other part time role she looks after the garden and volunteers at Our Yard at Clitterhouse Farm, a local community project. Her professional background is in hospitality. She spent 20 years working in the five-star market, the majority of time as Duty Manager for top hotels in Berlin and London.

In her spare time Anika loves spending time with her family, reading, baking, crafting and going for long walks with her dog.
Aurica Bulboaca is CAWH’s dedicated Cleaning and Care Assistant, ensuring the centre is always welcoming, calm and beautifully maintained. She believes that a clean environment supports wellbeing, comfort and dignity for everyone who walks through the door.

Originally from the Republic of Moldova, Aurica is of Romanian heritage and has lived in London for several years. She previously worked for over 20 years as a violin teacher, a role she loved deeply, before moving to Europe with her husband in search of new opportunities.

Since arriving in the UK, Aurica has worked in hotels, offices and schools before joining CAWH, where she has been a valued member of the team for the past two years. She takes great pride in her work and enjoys creating a space that feels peaceful and cared for.

Outside of work, Aurica is learning English and enjoys staying connected with her family back home.
