Free Carpentry Training Course

Description

Build Practical Skills for Real Carpentry Work.

This beginner-friendly, certificated carpentry course is designed for unemployed Camden residents who want to gain confidence, develop practical woodworking skills, and take first steps toward employment in the carpentry trade.

What You Will Learn
  • Basic hand skills — sawing, chiselling, planing, accurate measuring, and safe tool handling.
  • Tool sharpening — understanding bevel angles, using sharpening stones, honing guides, and maintaining sharp, safe edges.
  • Understanding wood — different wood and wood-product types, their properties, and how they are used in real projects.

Small Class, Strong Support
With only eight learners in the group, each student receives plenty of personal guidance and time to practise skills at their own pace.
